Casio Exilim EX750Casino Exilim EX750 DockWe bought the Casino Exilim EX750 because we needed a lighter camera for my wife to carry. While I prefer a larger camera with all the bells and whistles, she prefers something small she can carry everywhere. To her credit, she takes a lot more pictures than I do. And the small package packs quite a bit of functionality, to the point that some of my larger cameras are still on the shelf when we go out for hike, or dinner with friends. The ultra compact camera is made mostly out of aluminum, and has a very solid feel. It feels good in your hand, but is not overly heavy- with the battery it's a little under 6oz. That makes it extremely comfortable to carry on a belt or a purse for say long walks at Disneyland.
The Exilim models have also received the JD Power 2007 Award for Highest in Customer Satisfaction with Ultra Slim Digital Cameras. I can see why. The dock acts as a charging station and picture transfer point. It shoots at 7.2 Megapixels, so we have very good image quality and there's not problem zooming in during photo editing. You can also take 640 x 480 pixels movies at 30FPS, which are stored in MPEG-4 format. Best sceneI think the best feature for us would be the "Best Shot" modes, the camera does all the work on adjust for you. Check out the figure on the left. For the money and size footprint, you can't beat the Exilim.
